UECompression has provided high-specification, custom equipment, and solutions since the 1980s. While our name has changed a few times along the way—PAMCO, Colorado Compressor, Gas Packagers, Inc., and Iron Horse Compressor—our unwavering commitment to our customers and delivery of the highest-quality products and services remains the same. Today, UECompression (“UEC”) is the foremost engineered-to-order equipment packager for power generation, biogas, renewable natural gas, hydrogen, oil & gas, and industrial and process applications in the U.S.
Strategically located in the Rocky Mountain West, our Oil & Gas customers stretch throughout the continental US and our Process and Power customers have a global footprint.

Evolving Energy Solutions
The UEC team has long been an industry leader in fuel gas boosting for natural gas power plants. Working with all sizes of project developers, including the largest EPC providers, we listen to the customers’ needs in developing solutions. As power demand increases with the growth of artificial intelligence (AI) and data centers, UEC’s technical expertise and experience with reciprocating fuel gas boosters has positioned us to meet these demands.
UEC is at the forefront of carbon capture packaging, understanding the nuances of the process. We are experienced in the application of compression at ethanol plants and enhanced oil recovery, trusted partners with the leading engineering firms specializing in carbon capture.
Our niche in the Oil & Gas market is providing gas compression built to the customer’s unique specifications. We specialize in building cold weather enclosures feature deep skids and cold weather enclosures fabricated in the U.S.
UEC strives to be a producer of high quality packages, easy to work with and transparent through the project and supportive afterwards.
Our Partners
We design, package and distribute gas compression systems using the top brands in the industry: Ariel (reciprocating), and Ro-Flo (rotary vane). These systems are powered by electric motors or natural gas engines from Caterpillar (through G3616), Waukesha (through 16V275GL), and Cummins.
We also package and distribute the finest products offered in the compressed air market from our partners, Champion Pneumatic and Kobelco NW by Rogers Machinery.
